Stacy Blint’s poems remind me what it means to be alert to the possibilities of one’s life. The images and words cohere as fundamental engagements that thrill. Her writing brings forward both a sweetness and a deadpan, along with delight and terror. A stark sense of this comes through one of my favorite pieces in 13 Golden Hooks:

As with her blog project, Disappearing Books, her writing nods to the transient experience of life, making art from contingent forms. Blint is mindful of the fact that writing is a lot of fun, and she doesn’t go overboard by taking herself too seriously. Something emerges here that too often is missing in poetry—a sense of measure. Given the endless reams of poems printed each year, and the desperate claims for legitimacy many publications strive to obtain for the poet, Blint’s nod to the ephemeral contributes a radical commentary on contemporary practice. She shows us a way into a twilight condition, an experience of life that fades away into its source. ~Dale Smith

You should read this book because it is verry intereting and fasanating it has many diffrint stiles of pottrey and a lot of cool topics. It is a verry cool book full of intreging things with verry prifeshinl art in it. The people working on the book worked verry hard and did an exslent job.
